Barriers
We are working on making our rooms more accessible.
The current situation is as follows: we have a lower and upper area. The upper area consists of a kitchen and an event room. The lower area consists of a foyer and a plenary room. Both areas have separate entrances and are connected internally via a staircase. There is a small step in front of both entrances (between 4 and 8 cm high). There are currently two ramps in the entrance area of each room.
The upper door, which leads to the event room, is 180 cm wide and can be accessed from one side, although it is relatively narrow, almost at ground level. The lower door leading to the foyer and plenary room is 85 cm wide. Behind the respective entrances are door thresholds with a height of 3cm. Photos of the two entrance areas can be found below.
The toilets are not wheelchair accessible. The nearest accessible toilet is located in the Kasseler Markthalle (Wildemannsgasse 1, 34117 Kassel). The opening hours are Thursday and Friday 7.00 am – 6.00 pm and Saturday 7.00 am – 2.00 pm.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are currently available in the rooms. The alcoholic drinks are not normally visible, except at events where they are consumed. Smoking is not permitted indoors. There is a first aid kit, signposted escape routes and fire extinguishers. There is no mask requirement & mandatory testing for Covid-19.
Many of the events currently take place in (German) spoken language. We are working on providing information in different languages.
If you have any questions, comments or requests regarding other possible barriers, please write to us.
