Kassel on the left

LiZA is a place where various left-wing perspectives, projects and initiatives find space. We present you with a brief overview of left-wing structures and spaces in Kassel:

Solidarity structures in Kassel for everyone

Solitopf

Solitopf is a project for emancipatory politics in Kassel and the surrounding area that provides money for left-wing politics and individuals in emergency situations in the region. It also supports victims of right-wing, queer-hostile, racist and anti-Semitic violence. The Solitopf aims to make financial support possible where no money would otherwise reach. Would you like to put money in the pot? You want to get money from the Solitopf? Would you like more information or to get in touch? Write an e-mail to: solitopfks[at]riseup.net

Die Dezentrale – News & Pressestelle

As a platform for subculture, art and politics, dezentrale aims to make the diverse event formats and actions that take place every day in Kassel visible, to critically accompany them and to bring together the numerous Kassel initiatives and collectives on one platform. The dezentrale is an independent network made up of individuals from various Kassel initiatives. The project currently consists of three sections, each of which works independently as a working group: the Pressestelle (reports and short news items), Drucksache (city magazine) and the Netzteil (online calendar and directory). More information at: https://www.die-dezentrale.net/

Rote Hilfe

Rote Hilfe e. V. is made up of people who all feel they belong to the political left. Rote Hilfe is politically and financially independent, works together across different movements and has a pluralistic self-image. Its aim is to take action and organize solidarity in the event of state repression against individuals or the left-wing movement as a whole. The Antirepression consultation hour of the Rote Hilfe Kassel always takes place on the third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 pm in the Kurdish Cultural Association. You can drop by here if you have legal questions about dealing with repression in connection with your political activism. More information at: https://rotehilfekassel.noblogs.org/
